Since joining exigere in 2013, Andrew has worked on a wide range of projects across the office sector, with a specialist focus on refurbishment schemes. He has in-depth knowledge of the design constraints and risks of refurbishing existing buildings, working on numerous projects for clients such as Dorrington, Stanhope, Duchy of Lancaster, Tower Hamlets, Derwent London and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
His notable projects include the 2022 AJ Retrofit Award's winning scheme The Laszlo, and more recently, planning consent was received for Woolgate Exchange. The extensive cut and carve is on track to become an exemplar for retrofit in the City, targeting net zero carbon in both construction and operation.
Before joining exigere, he enjoyed a long-term working relationship with The Royal Academy of Arts, entrusted with several successive cultural schemes, as well as working on a London landmark tower for Heron International.
Andrew thoroughly understands how buildings are put together and the implications of regulation change on design. He is well-versed in sustainable construction initiatives and aligning budgets and design development without eroding design integrity.
