Tom Brunt

Tom specialises in workplace refurbishment and complex redevelopment projects, with experience spanning office refurbishments, cut and carve schemes, residential developments and the integration of laboratory and office environments.

He works predominantly with existing buildings, where optimising retained structure, improving operational performance and responding to changing occupier needs are central to project success. His approach balances value, performance and user experience, supporting clients and design teams through technically complex projects with clear communication and practical commercial advice.

Tom’s project experience includes Woolgate, 1 Triton Square, 55 Baker Street, 50 Berkeley Street, 40 Argyll Street, 40 Berkeley Square, 20 Triton Street, Kett House, The Bindery and Ibex House. His work includes major office refurbishment, high-quality workplace schemes, laboratory fit out and projects involving significant structural intervention and phased delivery.

As one of exigere’s earliest team members, Tom has a strong understanding of the business, its culture and the standards expected across project delivery. He is known for being proactive, diligent and collaborative, with a strong ability to build relationships, manage teams and navigate negotiations with main contractors.

Alongside project delivery, Tom plays an active role in exigere’s People Team and leads the company’s APC process, guiding graduates through their professional development. He is a mentor across the business, helping to develop the next generation of surveyors while supporting continued improvement in how teams work and deliver for clients. His contribution to the sector also extends beyond exigere, including his role as a BCO London Awards judge.
