This state-of-the-art, five-storey, 206,000 sq ft life sciences building will offer cutting-edge office and laboratory spaces designed to support a variety of scientific functions. It includes BCL2 lab-enabled facilities within a G+4 structure, complemented by a basement for parking and plant equipment. Additionally, the development will feature two floors of incubator spaces operated by Breakthrough, as well as a café, gym, reception area, and end-of-trip facilities.
The project prioritises sustainability, incorporating all-electric heating and cooling systems, passive design features, reduced water consumption, and provisions for electric vehicles and bicycles.
Vitrum will deliver a premier environment for biotechnology companies, fostering scientific innovation in response to the high demand for modern lab spaces in Cambridge’s supply-constrained market.
