David Thornley

David brings a wealth of experience to exigere, with 35 years in diverse sectors across central London, Europe and the Middle East. Joining exigere after a decade as the leader of AECOM's London cost management team and its commercial sector, and before that, an equity partner at Davis Langdon, David's expertise in the commercial property market is extensive and well-regarded. 

Passionate about delivering excellence, David has over 25 years of experience in the London commercial property market. His portfolio includes leading significant projects including Grade A new builds, central London landmark refurbishments and major headquarters fit outs. His clientele spans leading financial institutions, tech giants, retail brands and government bodies, including Derwent London, Landsec, British Land, GPA, Citi, Sky, SCB, Morgan Stanley, Marks & Spencer and Apple.

David is a natural leader known for building enduring relationships with teams, clients, project stakeholders and the wider supply chain. He excels in managing complex commercial property projects from inception to completion, often requiring innovative and bespoke solutions to meet challenging project and programme objectives.

He also leads exigere’s sustainability working group, helping to shape and advance the business’s approach to sustainability across its operations and client services.
